Our story

Every person carries a story that is often invisible.

Some live with pain that has silently become a part of their daily life. Some mothers quietly ignore their own health while caring for everyone else. Some elderly people stop doing the things they love because they believe pain is a part of ageing. Some couples and children carry emotional struggles they cannot easily express.

ARKAA was born to change that.

Our purpose was never just to open another clinic. Our purpose was to create a place where people feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. We believe healing begins when someone truly listens.

That is why ARKAA brings together Physiotherapy, Women's Health, Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, and Psychology under one roof — so that every patient receives care for both the body and the mind.

Every treatment at ARKAA is guided by science, delivered with compassion, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. We are committed to helping people not only recover from pain but also regain confidence, independence, and the joy of living.

Our greatest achievement is not the number of treatments we provide — it is seeing a patient walk with confidence again, a mother smile without discomfort, an elderly person regain independence, or a family rediscover hope.

ARKAA exists because every life deserves to move freely, live confidently, and heal completely.

What we resolve

Pain Management

Two disciplines under one roof. One relieves what hurts now. The other retrains what caused it — so the relief holds.

Under the same roof

Physiology

Half of what a person carries is not in the body. That half has a room here too.

Counselling at ARKAA is not an add-on to the physiotherapy. It is a practice in its own right, run in the same building by the same team — for couples and families working through something they have not been able to get past alone.

What is said here stays here

Confidential, within the usual legal limits around risk of serious harm. Nothing from an individual session reaches your partner without your agreement.

You can come alone

A relationship shifts when one person changes what they do in it. Many partners join later, once it no longer feels like a summons.

Nobody is assigned blame

The work is on the pattern between people, not on who started it. Both accounts get the same room and the same hearing.

The centrepiece

BTL EMSELLA

The chair that does 11,000 Kegels for you.

Better bladder control

Leaking when you cough, laugh or lift is the main reason people come in. It is usually the first thing to improve, often within two or three sessions.

Works when Kegels have not

When you squeeze on your own, you only reach part of the muscle. The chair reaches all of it, including the deep parts you cannot control yourself. That is why it often helps people whose Kegel exercises have not worked.

No surgery, no recovery

No surgery. No medicine. No anaesthetic. No recovery time. You keep your clothes on, sit for 28 minutes, and carry on with your day.

Your confidence back

Most people describe their life changing before their symptoms do. Going back to the gym. Travelling again. Sleeping through the night. Not checking where the nearest toilet is.

No probes, no undressingOne 28-minute appointmentWalk in, walk out the same day

If you leak when you laugh, cough or lift something, or you cannot always reach the toilet in time, you are not alone — and you do not have to put up with it. EMSELLA is a chair. You sit on it fully clothed for 28 minutes, and it strengthens the pelvic floor muscles that control your bladder — doing the work of thousands of Kegel exercises in a single session.

How a session works

01

We check it is right for you

Pelvic floor problems have different causes, and EMSELLA is not the answer to all of them. The first appointment is an assessment. If something else would help you more, we will say so.

02

You sit down, fully dressed

No undressing. No probes, no needles, no anaesthetic. You sit on the chair and read your phone or talk to us.

03

28 minutes

You feel a tingling, and your pelvic floor tightening and releasing on its own. It is not painful. One session does around 11,000 of these contractions.

04

You go straight back to your day

There is no recovery time and nothing to take home. Most people have six sessions, twice a week, over three weeks.

Safety screening. EMSELLA is not suitable during pregnancy, or for patients with a pacemaker, defibrillator, metal implants such as hip replacements, or a copper coil / IUD. Your consultant will screen you before the first session.

Who it is for

  • Stress incontinence after childbirth or menopause
  • Leakage when laughing, coughing, sneezing or exercising
  • Urge incontinence and sudden loss of bladder control
  • Postpartum pelvic floor weakness
  • Vaginal laxity and intimate-health concerns
  • Pelvic floor weakness in men, including post-prostate treatment

What it delivers

  • Re-educates and strengthens the entire pelvic floor
  • Restores bladder control and day-to-day confidence
  • Completely non-invasive — no drugs, no recovery time
  • Comfortable: most feel only a tingling or tensing sensation
  • Improvement often observed after a single session
  • Walk in and walk out the same day

Deep-tissue therapy

G5 Professional Massage System

Mechanical vibration therapy, delivered deeper than hands alone.

Deeper than hands reach

Sustained deep vibration gets into muscle and fascia that would take far longer to release by hand — and it does not tire, so the pressure stays even from the first minute to the last.

Makes your treatment work better

Tight tissue resists treatment. Warming and softening an area first means the manual therapy that follows is more comfortable and gets further into the problem.

Less swelling and heaviness

The rhythmic action encourages circulation and lymphatic drainage, which helps with puffiness, heaviness and the stiffness that settles after injury or a long period of sitting still.

Looser the same day

Most people describe the area as looser and warmer as soon as they get up. It is often used after training, after long hours on your feet, or when soreness is holding back the rest of your programme.

G5 Professional Massage System

Some muscle tension sits too deep, or covers too much ground, for hands alone to reach in a single session. The G5 does that work — a therapist-guided machine that vibrates deep into muscle and the tissue around it, loosening what is tight and moving the fluid that has settled. It is used as part of your treatment, not instead of it: it opens the tissue up so the hands-on work that follows goes further.

Broad kneading for large areas — the back, the thighs, the shoulders. The one used most often.

Before your visit

Questions we are asked

Is a doctor's referral required?

No. You may book directly. If your findings warrant medical or surgical review, we will say so and forward the report to the doctor of your choosing.

What does the EMSELLA session feel like?

You stay fully clothed and seated. Most people describe a tingling and a tensing of the pelvic floor, similar to a Kegel contraction but far stronger. It is not painful, and you can read or talk throughout.

How many EMSELLA sessions will I need?

The standard course is six sessions, twice a week over three weeks. Most people notice a change after two or three. Your consultant will confirm the plan after assessment.

Who cannot have EMSELLA treatment?

It is not suitable during pregnancy, or if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator, metal implants such as a hip replacement, or a copper coil / IUD. We screen every patient before the first session.

Do you treat pregnancy and postpartum pain?

Yes. Pregnancy-related back pain, postpartum back and pelvic pain, core reactivation and pelvic floor rehabilitation are core parts of the practice.

How are results shared?

You receive a written report with your baseline measurements, the plan, and your progress against that baseline at reassessment.
